Want to view your website stats right from your dashboard without visiting any complex tools like Google Analytics? If that’s what you want then you’ve landed the correct page.
After starting a blog, most beginners ask the same question “How to see the page views for the posts?” and “How can I get my blog traffic report?“. Most of them will struggle to get this simple report from WordPress.
As WordPress doesn’t have any built-in feature to report the page views to your dashboard, you can use any one of the best stats plugins to get the reports on page views, sessions, and visitor counts on your WP dashboard.
In this article, we’re going to see How we can find the stats reports like pageviews and sessions right from your WP dashboard with the use of a nice and popular plugin called ExactMetrics.
How To View Stats Reports on WordPress?
To get the reports, we’re using ExactMetrics, which is a Google Analytics Plugin you can use with your website, blog, eCommerce store. For starting, you need to install and activate Exactmetrics which we’ll be showing you in this article.
Step 1: Install and Activate ExactMetrics from the Plugins>Add New option from WordPress.
Step 2: Once the plugin is activated, you’ll be redirected to the page that asks you to Launch the setup wizard. Click on Launch the wizard button to complete the ExactMetrics setup and also if you’re having any doubt, you’re having a video tutorial right there.
Step 3: On launching the wizard, you’re asked to select your website category to proceed. From the three options: Business, Publisher, and eCommerce, select the one that best fits your webiste category.
Step 4: Now you need to connect ExactMetrics with your website. For that, click on Connect ExactMetrics button down there and you need to authenticate your Google Analytics account.
Step 5: After authenticating with Google Analytics, it will show you the list of websites that are currently linked to your Analytics account. You can complete the connection by clicking the Complete Connection button.

Step 6: Next few steps are for installing Addons, and you can feel free to skip it or try out installing the partner plugins from ExactMetrics. Once you’ve completed those steps, you’ll see the message “Awesome, You’re All Set!” and ExactMetrics is all set up and ready to use.
Step 7: Now just head over to the ExactMetrics tab on your WordPress dashboard. In most cases, you’ll be automatically redirected there. If not click on ExactMetrics and select Reports to see your website stats and other data.
Step 8: On the Reports tab, you’ll get your website stats data like Sessions, Pageviews, Avg. Session Duration, Bounce Rate etc. and you’ll get an easy-to-understand and clear graph for your website stats.
